Yinqixing Indoor Ski Center

Located in the city’s southern Minhang district, Yinqixing brings a dose of alpine action to Shanghai’s marshy sprawl.
Leave it to 21st-century Shanghai to build the world’s largest ski center. Though alpine skiing is a very new idea to 99.99% of China’s billion-plus, there’s a lot of interest in high-end leisure and tourism among China’s emerging middle class and nouveaus riches, and Yingqixing Indoor Ski Center testifies to the fact.
The 108,000 m2 facility features a 380 m long, 80 m wide and 42 m high ski slope, as well as a 7,200 m2 practice flat for beginners and a 30,000 m2 entertainment area, equipped with hot springs, restaurants and a VIP area and employs some of the most sophisticated snow-making techniques available, generating up to 50cm of artificial powder daily.
Ski or snowboard rental is included in price of admission.
