Nanjing Lu Fake Market – Fenshine Fashion & Accesories Plaza

The most convenient of Shanghai’s fake markets, there are several floors’ worth of stalls crammed into this building and jam-packed with counterfeit goods. Watches, bags, suitcases, clothing, shoes, jewelry, DVDs computer software, it’s all here and you’ll see the usual brand names popping up all over the place.

Don’t expect quality (though as you ascend to the higher floors the quality and the price increases as the crowd decreases) and certainly don’t pay the asking price. Bargain hard and don’t be afraid to walk away, they’ll soon come running with a better price – aim to pay between 10-30%. Watch your wallet too as pickpockets are known to operate in this area.
