Shanghai Food Street: Jinxian Lu

A hidden jem often compared to Taikang Lu’s warren of bohemian shops and cafés, Jinxian Lu is situated in Shanghai’s French Concession, and stretches from Shaanxi Lu to Maoming Lu.

Though you won’t find any “street food” here, you will find a selection of some of Shanghai’s best restaurants including the Southern Barbarian (Yunnanese), Citizen Café, Osteria (fine Italian), Le Cygne (Shanghainese interpretation of Western), Bliss Café and Chun (Shanghainese).

You’ll also find some of the city’s most exclusive fashion boutiques, including Les Lucioles, a “fashionista’s paradise” offering vintage and European designs unavailable anywhere else in China.
