Zhongshan Park (Shanghai)

Located on Changning Lu near the Cloud 9 shopping mall and just five minutes on foot from the Zhongshan Park Metro Station (Line 2), Zhongshan Park (Zhongshan Gongyuan) is one of the city’s largest public parks.
Boasting grassy fields perfect for tossing a Frisbee or flying kites and a man-made lake prime for boating, Zhongshan Park offers a nice leisurely atmosphere, perfect for families or anyone looking to escape the confines of Shanghai’s sometimes-overwhelming skyscrapers.
Once the sun sets, locals congregate outside the park’s main gate for ballroom and line dancing sessions, a tradition that’s worth witnessing if you happen to be in the area.
Additionally, not far from Zhongshan Park’s main entrance you’ll find a bewildering range of dining and shopping options.
