Shanghai Top Selling Hotels Review

All the top booked hotels in Shanghai do provide things in common: fabulous view of the Bund and the Huangpu River, comfortable rooms and luxuriou experience; however, cons of top hotels are all alike, and yet every  top hotel is defective in its own way. Here I collect both the postive and negative words about the top selling hotels in Shanghai for your reference.

# Les Suite Orient, Bund Shanghai (上海东方商旅精品酒店) From CNY 1190

Location: No.1 Jinling East Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai (the Bund)

The boutique hotel provides an elegant stay here: rooms are kitted out with awesome tech, both Western and Asian minimalism interiors make you come to life, rooms with river view are worth every penny spent on. Outstanding services by hotel staff and most of members are fluent in English and you are sure to avoid lots of hassle through their help with booking tickets for train, performance and many more. Drawbacks: disco occasionally runs during weekends on the top floor, so high floor rooms are not ideal; the rooms are overlooking the main street so you may hear noises from the street and even boat honks (very) early in the morning. There is neither pool nor bar here.

Advice: select the rooms carefully — it could be nothing like the pretty pictures below.

Location: No.219 Century Avenue, Pudong New District, Shanghai (Lujiazui)

The Four Seasons Pudong set a new benchmark for high end luxury hotels in Shanghai. It is lavishly decorated, even in the bathrooms. The spa & swimming pool is the diamond of the hotel — The French windows offer a fabulous night scene of the city. Drawbacks: not so attentive services since being a newly open hotel, and the sound proof system is not that good.

Tips: be sure not to confuse this hotel with the older Four Seasons.

Location: No.88 Sichuan Middle Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai

Located in an old colonial building on the Bund, this hotel is truly 5 star for its superb quality and well-trained staff. As to the location, you cannot get any closer to the Bund. It provides excellent food with enormous breakfast buffét with both Western and Chinese cuisine. Drawbacks: Like other hotels around the Bund area, not many eateries for you to eat at besides a breakfast venue, to arrive which you have to walk through an old street.

# Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai(上海浦东香格里拉大酒店) From CNY 1477

Location: NO.33 Fucheng Road, Pudong District, Shanghai

The service, amenities, rooms there all live up to a luxury hotel. It is ideally situated, close to metro station and even to the ferry. The new and old wing both have a unique ambiance to experience. Even so, someone has marked it average because it is nothing special considering the high price paid, especially the overpriced food.

The flagship Shanghri-La hotel carries all gadgets and amenities that easily come on top of all luxury hotels in Shanghai.
