Hong Kong Top Selling Hotels Review

Besides the sign of excellent hotels in Hong Kong — the exciting habour view in rooms, and a shared weakness of all rooms in the city — smaller size compared with the international standards of all levels, I will let you know the particular pros and cons of each top selling hotel in Hong Kong.

# JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong (香港JW万豪酒店) From CNY2423

Location:Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Hong Kong

The hotel has a great view of the harbor and Kowloon side, a park beside it, and the Pacific place mall downstairs, and Star street at the back, close to the MTR station as well. The rooms are not spacious and furnishing could be updated. The bathrooms are excellent, including a shower and bathtub separately. Though with little restaurants around the area, the canteen inside the hotel offers a wide range of food. There is free Wi-Fi in the rooms.

# The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong (香港丽思卡尔顿酒店) From CNY 4304

Location: International Commerce Center, 1 Austin Road West, Kowloon, Hong Kong

It has a not convenient location compared with others, considering a comparatively long walk form the metro station. But here you can swim in the highest swimming pool; they also have an open air terrace at 460 meters above sea level. A big part of their patrons mentioned “a home away from home“ when describing their stay there, which you can learn the attentive service from: memorizing your name, asking about your allergy…A bad thing is the laylout of the hotel makes such an inconvenience to get to your room — you need to walk so far and with 2 elevtors up. Also, food is good but overpriced.

Tips: All rooms have wonderful biews, but if you want the spectacular Hongkong island view, choose the harbour rooms.

# Grand Hyatt Hong Kong (香港君悦酒店) From CNY1913

Location: No.1 Harbor Road, Hong Kong

The hotel is located is located directly at the Victoria harbour with amazing panoramic sights from the rooms, 5 minutes away from the ferry station and 10 minutes walk to the MTR station. The rooms are what you would expect of a modern international hotel while smaller than you might expect. Many details show they really look into every way to satisfy their patrons, such as a very healthy breakfast menu with freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruits and a lot more. Service is their benchmark — prompt response to issues. The refurbishment program is under progress till summer 2014, so expect the inconvenience.

# InterContinental Hong Kong (香港洲际酒店) From CNY2805

Location: No.18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

You can’t be any closer to the Victoria Harbor — Venue of the Stars is a few minute walk from the lobby. Also, don’t miss to try Nobu restaurant. Amenities and features are good, such as newspaper delivered each morning, but the dated decor is a minus. What’s more, there is a lot of construction going on directly near to the hotel, so expect to see and hear noises. No free wifi for guests.

# The Upper House (奕居酒店) From CNY3268

Location: Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Hong Kong

The stylish tech-savvy boutique offers a unique simple luxury. Rooms are huge and half of the space is the bathroom / staging area, with views from not only the living room and bedroom but from the bath tub as well. You can order room service using an iPod touch. The whole team delivers vitality and enthusiasm, all well-trained and organized. But the layout is not detail-oriented enough though trying hard to impress its patrons. Another downside is its not decent food quality.
